About Us

Where Every Child Can Discover Their Distinct Ability

At Distinct Abilities Academic Program (DAAP), we believe every child has a unique path to growth and discovery. With two locations in the greater Houston area—Clear Lake and Alvin—we welcome children of all abilities, from six weeks to 12 years old, into a nurturing environment where learning is inclusive, engaging, and deeply personal.

A Foundation Built on Inclusion and Discovery

Learning Together, Growing Individually

At DAAP, every child receives an individualized program designed to support growth in language, mathematics, science, and the broader educational curriculum—all within a full-inclusion classroom. We foster teamwork, encourage self-led exploration, and create space for children to both mentor and learn from one another. Our approach helps each child build confidence, strengthen social skills, and uncover their own distinct ability in a setting that values collaboration as much as academic achievement.

A Personal Approach to Early Learning

Our Classroom Experience

Immersed in the five developmental domains—Physical, Social, Cognitive, Communicative, and Adaptive—within an advanced academic setting. Each child explores at a pace that supports their personal growth, in an environment that recognizes that all children learn differently.

A Curriculum That Adapts to Your Child

Our curriculum features targeted units that support varied learning styles and developmental needs. By encouraging self-direction and deeper understanding, we help children build confidence across all academic areas.

Inclusive and Empowering

Providing equal academic opportunities for children of all abilities, including those with Down syndrome, Autism, and developmental delays. Our inclusive classrooms promote connection, empathy, and meaningful social growth.

Individualized Support & Family Connection

Each child receives individualized attention to support their unique needs. We work closely with families to build strong, loving relationships and are committed to helping all children thrive—both academically and emotionally.

Experienced. Qualified & Committed.
